yes this website is fun and yes I had a goodtime on beverweerd. I was there at the same time as Jaap 1979 till1981 (hi Jaap) Hope everybody is well and if there is a reunion I will go there.

I was there 1965-66. I enjoyed the photos and emails. I remember Mr Hilsley very fondly. I was in his choir and we used to rehearse in his "rooms" in the tower. Every so often he would serenade us on his harpsichord piano. I was in his opera with others and the frozen swan (that caused a furor). The April fools trick in 66 was to put the nurse's car on top of the building. The boys had to wash her car every week; although she seemed to favor her motorcycle. Good times!

Well done Joep! Great compliments for your site! You had just left Beverweerd when I came in at 1976. I stayed at the Dutch section and graduated Spring 1978. The memories of this particular period will always stay in my heart!!

What a nice site, I was there from 79 until 82.

And finally The Castle is back in it's original state ( on the outside), brilliant.
What has happened to the Griffins?
I've spend hours on chiseling away the layers of paint on the shields during metalwork with Mr. Jaritz.

De klassefoto heb ik inmiddels op schoolbank gevonden en nu moeten
degenen, die zichzelf niet herkennen
,moeten nu zelf maar aangeven
wie ze zijn. volgens mij heb ik de meeste goed.
Ook heb ik aan iemand gevraagd, die alles bewaart voor de Holland
Herald van 1974/1975 Maar ik zag dat je die van 1974 al hebt.
Overigens vind ik die nieuwe restauratie ook niet mooi. Groetejs Irene

Hoi Jeroen,
Even zo, had jij die klassefoto van mij op je site staan?
Ik kreeg een mail van iemand en die zei dat ik de verkeerde
aangewezen had. Maar ik kan die klassefoto nergens vinden
ook niet op Schoolbank, waar ik hem zonder namen heegestuurd
heb. Overigens heeft Duco (hieronder) het via via van mij, misschien
heeft hij ook nog wat materiaal, hij zat een paar klassen lager.

Hoi Joepie, zoals als reeds eerder gemeld, prachtig initiatief jouw site.
Wij kenden elkaar al van het "anarchisten bolwerk" in Nijmegen, van "mijn" 3 kostscholen was Werkhoven wel het interessantste. De werkplaats van van Loenen mis ik nog wel eens. Mooi te lezen dat er nog veel mensen zijn en elkaar zoeken. Inmiddels heb ik een reclamebedrijf en wil het logo van Beverweerd weer als speldje (pins) laten produceren, denk dat ze 4-5 euro zullen zijn. Graag wil ik vooraf weten of hoeveel animo ervoor is. mail me svp even dan inventariseren we eerst. see you, Michel (Mike) Gitsels

Hi,
I was a Beverweirdo from dec 1982 till my exams in 1984. I visit the castle quite often now, as I am intrested to see the progress on the restauration of the castle. They have just started on the Coachhouse.
The artist Geert Jan Janssen has been in the castle for a number of years now and organizes expo's on a regular basis, check out his website for dates. I know he agreed to Roger Sigaar to allow usage of the castle for a reunion, but I don't know if this still is possible with all the building/renovating going on.
I read someone asking about Hillebill, yes he lived in the castle for a long time. I was on TV as a guest in 'De Stoel', this was because of the publicing of his diaries.
Remember the album that was recorded of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat? I digitalized it and hopefully anyone interested can find it through limewire.

Joep zoals gezegd ,op Texel liggen ongeveer 10.000 foto's klaar,keurig geordend in klappers,over de jaren 1973/93.Klassefoto's zols op je site getoond (allemaal van mij) schooltrips to Wales,toneelavonden etc,etc....
Come and get them.
